Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for all things talent, from discovering game changing candidates to supporting our current cast of ridiculous characters. You will drive recruitment, guide hiring managers on best practices in recruiting and interviewing and find innovative solutions to enhance the experience for current and future talent. The person we’re looking for thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys the challenge of making the right match, serves as an advisor to internal teams and prospective candidates and is excited about supporting and developing existing talent. We need you to be just as picky as we are about finding great talent to add to our ridiculous cast of characters.



  • Develop and execute recruiting and interviewing plan for open positions working in conjunction with hiring managers
  • Review applicants and conduct initial screening interviews, ensuring timely follow up process with all candidates
  • Extend offers, including drafting offer letters, managing compensation negotiation
  • Coordinate and implement college recruiting initiatives and attend career fairs
  • Manage Intern hiring process and program
  • Work within applicant tracking system which includes ensuring up to date and accurate candidate information, documenting candidate feedback and creating/posting job descriptions
  • Follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting process
  • Facilitate employee engagement programs
  • Manage onboarding process for new hires, including benefits enrollment
  • Serve as a point of contact for benefits questions/concerns
  • Coordinate with payroll, including proper documentation and file management in a timely manner
  • Build relationships within the agency, provide insight on best hiring practices and internal communication planning
  • Act as an ambassador for the agency, continuing to build on our reputation as as an employer of choice internally and externally
  • Utilize networks and explore new sources to build a pool of qualified passive candidates in advance of needs, maintaining regular contact with prospective candidates, which will include fostering relationships with colleges and attending career fairs
  • Manage/Facilitate employee engagement programs
  • Manage relationships with external recruiting firms
  • Manage office coordinator


Skills & Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  • 2-4 years of HR/recruiting experience, ad agency recruiting experience preferred
  • PHR or AIRS certification preferred
  • Excellent overall communication, computer skills and organizational skills
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Skills in database management and record keeping
  • Must be able to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
  • Ability to travel occasionally for college visits, and career fairs
  • Must be a problem solver
  • Negotiation skills
  • Don’t take yourself too seriously
  • Must be a nice person
