Media Operations Specialist

The Allen & Gerritsen media team is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented media professional to join its ranks as a Media Operations Specialist (“MOS”). Although this role will be primarily executional in nature, this is not an entry-level position. Experience in media is important to the foundational knowledge needed to succeed in this role. This person will be responsible for managing the daily operations of media campaigns, satisfying data requests from the Analytics team and other internal teams, and some buying and trafficking of media across digital and offline channels.

The paramount qualification for this role is attention to detail. The MOS will be accountable for the correct setup of orders, tags, and internal documents, as well as the accuracy and validity of performance data. While the MOS will work directly with the rest of the members of the media team, the role will have limited strategic or planning responsibilities. Instead, the MOS will ensure that our media campaigns run smoothly, that our data collection and reporting are accurate, and that we are maximizing value for our clients.


  • Execute and QA in Google DoubleClick (Planning, Trafficking, and Reporting) and MOAT Ad Verification
  • Distribute and manage tags and assets with media partners
  • Develop and manage internal media plan spreadsheets
  • Understand measurement plans and KPIs per campaign to monitor any faults for business-critical data collection
  • Ensure agency created data governance policies are adhered to, ensuring high-quality, clear performance data setup procedures and data collection
  • Collaborate with Analytics team to discuss diagnostic performance results for media campaigns
  • Direct optimal allocation of media spend across channels, partners, and placements
  • Serve as the primary resource for the Analytics team and their reporting questions
  • Assist Analytics with creation of tracking tags matching an established measurement plan
  • Strategically approach and resolve ad serving and reporting issues
  • Reconcile end-of-campaign billing with Accounting team
  • Collect and share campaign screenshots
  • Maintain ad specs for all digital products

Qualifications and Expectations:

BA / BS degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in digital ad trafficking
  • Mastery of Google DoubleClick and MOAT Ad Verification
  • Experience with campaign implementation: HTML5, rich media, video (VAST / VPAID), custom
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects at a time against strict deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Preferred:
  • Google DoubleClick, Google Analytics, or similar certifications
  • Experience in Tableau
  • Experience across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Snapchat platforms
